
RESIDENCY
TEMPLE HOUSE
Temple House provides artist residencies for writers, musicians, sound, digital, visual, and performance artists. Each year,12 local, national, and international artists will benefit from 2 to 8-week fully sponsored stays, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas across a diverse creative community.
The program includes:

Studio space and private bedroom accommodations in a shared house.

Shared ballroom space with local artists and opportunity to present work.

Travel and living expenses, up to $1500 with additional support for low-income artists.

Low income artists are encouraged to apply for Temple House grants for additional expenses awarded on an as needed basis, up to $2500.
Goals:

Support artists in their creative processes and help them push the boundaries of their work.

Cultivate a nurturing community that enriches New Orleans’ cultural landscape through both local and international collaborations.

Promote societal and cultural discourse through artistic expression, particularly from marginalized voices.

Develop programs and initiatives that make art more attainable for underrepresented groups, thereby diversifying the range of artistic perspectives.

Celebrate exploration of new forms and methods in artists' work.
